We weren't originally supposed to be involved with the Dundee heat, but the local photographer dropped out at short notice and Marianne asked if we could fill in. I got in touch with Gillian Lees to see if she was available for make-up and, since there were seven contestants, she enlisted Matilda Sjöblom to help too. Amazingly, we managed to fit 4 of us with all the gear including my studio lights and the small softbox in the Mazda 2.
If I'd remembered in advance that it was the weekend of the Royal Highland Show I might not have been so keen, but we avoided most of the traffic queuing for the bridge and made Dundee in pretty good time.
Unlike previous venues, Fat Sam's VIP room is predominantly white ... no real problem with flash power (and of course since it was a private shoot we could use the studio gear too). Unfortunately the windows at the back of the room were reflective and that detracts in some of the shots.
